PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The Federal Bureau of Investigation is working with state and local Pierre law enforcement agencies as they look into an incident that occurred at a Pierre bank this morning. Law officers were called to BankWest at 107 South Highland Avenue about 11:10 a.m. this morning. No weapons were involved-according to the FBI’s Bob Perry-and there were no injuries of any type. Perry says the incident involved the theft of money from the bank. He says the FBI is not making any other comment at this time, but the agency is working with the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and the Pierre Police Department as part of an ongoing investigation into the matter.
