PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) 2013 annual park entrance licenses for South Dakota’s state parks and recreation areas will be going on sale soon. The 2013 park entrance license is valid from October 1 of this year through May 18 of 2014. People who buy one license can also buy a second license at half price. The 2013 annual entrance license features the image of a soaring eagle. It highlights the opportunities found for bald eagle viewing in winter months at parks near dams on the Missouri River in South Dakota. The license is required to enter into designated state parks, recreation areas and lakeside-use areas. It does not cover camping costs or other fees. To purchase an entrance license, visit any local state park office or call the South Dakota Division of Parks and Recreation at 773-3391.
