UNDATED – (DRG News) Campbell County Deputy Chuck Davidson tried to be in two places at once on Saturday evening as a vehicle rollover in one location and a building fire in another happened almost simultaneously. Deputy Davidson reported to a fire on Saturday night northeast of Herreid at 9:41 pm at Josh and Debbie Saylor’s place where a newly built heated Machine shed started on fire. There were no injuries to report. Also responding to the fire were the Herreid and Eureka Fire Departments.
At 9:55 pm, as Deputy Davidson was getting out of his vehicle at the fire, a call came in for an accident SE of Herreid. Carl Zeltinger of Kenmare ND was west bound on Hwy 10 when the Tandem Trailer he was towing came unhitched and started to fish tail behind his vehicle by the safety chains. Zeltinger lost control of his vehicle and ultimately rolled his pickup into the ditch. The trailer that just previously became unhitched ended up on top of the upside down pickup. Zeltinger escaped with no apparent life threatening injuries but was transported to the Eureka Hospital by the Campbell County Ambulance Crew.
