Homecoming Week Underway in Pierre/Next Week Brings Homecoming for Stanley County

UNDATED – (DRG News) Today kicks off Homecoming Week for Pierre students. The theme for the 2012 Homecoming is “Under the Sea”. Today brings Dress Up Day, and students are dressing in their Class Color. Seniors color is black, Juniors-red, Sophomores-yellow; Freshman-pink and Teachers-blue. Coronation is tonight at 7:30 p.m. starting with a pep rally in the theater and after coronation, the burning of the letters will be in the west parking lot. Homecoming candidates are Anna Bondy, Megan Feller, Rachel Hartmann, Taylor Hyde, Kristi Livermont, Carson Eisenbeisz, Zach Hanson, Matt Monfore, Kyle Sarringar and Austin Wagner. Tuesday’s dress up day will follow a pirate/ship wreck theme and the Homecoming parade starts at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, students dress up like cartoon characters, Thursday as elderly people and Friday’s Homecoming Day will bring green and white day. The Homecoming game will start at 7:00 p.m. against Brookings Friday night.
Stanley County Schools hold Homecoming next week. Those who are Homecoming candidates are-Wyatt Green, Wyatt Harrowa, Brady Washechek, Tucker Fischbach, Dallas Heninger, Shantell Gregg, Katie Lehrkamp, Lexi Lopour, Breeze Olson and Nicole Smith. Second grade crown bearers are Chase Hanson and Abigail Huebner. Coronation in Fort Pierre will be next Monday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Gym-followed by the burning of the letters.
