Water Leak Leading to Hydrant Will Result in Work at Pierre Intersection Next Week

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) City of Pierre Water Department crews will be working next week near the corner of Highland Avenue and Pleasant Drive after a line to a fire hydrant there began leaking this morning. Lynn Patton of the city says the leak was isolated from the main to a hydrant at that intersection. The hydrant has been marked and will remain out of service for a time. Patton says the street there is concrete, so it will be cut with a saw and repair work on the line will take place during a time next week that does not cause an interruption with the school day for Georgia Morse Middle School. The intersection is open for now-until that work gets underway sometime next week.
