PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Wednesday brings the next broadcast of KGFX’s 2012 Hometown Tour series, as Dorene Foster and Jeri Thomas will be on the road to Onida. We’ll conduct this week’s program from Sunrise Bank Dakota in Onida. A few topics we’ll discuss during the hour-long broadcast include the Sully County Fair, which is celebrating 90 years this year. Activities start Thursday and continue through Sunday and Darrell Tilberg will talk all about what’s on this year’s schedule. We’ll also learn more about the Sully County Courthouse from Sheila Ring. The courthouse is more than 100 years old. Merlin Voorhees will discuss the history of the Hedman house-which was once owned by Dr. Oscar Hedman, who survived the Titanic and we’ll talk with Mike Owens about the history of the Onida Bank. Thanks to the community sponsors that are making Wednesday’s program possible: BankWest Onida, Barber Farm Service and Barber Chemical and Midwest Coop. Wednesday’s Hometown Tour broadcast starts at 9:05 a.m. and we hope you tune in!
