PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre 15-16 Teener White Sox did something last night they have not done very often this season. They swept a doubleheader. The White Sox downed the Watertown White Sox 9-7 and 10-2 last night at Hyde Stadium. The win in the first game counted in the standings in the state VFW League. In the opener, the White Sox scored 5 runs in the 5th inning to push ahead for good. Trey Campbell was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s to pace Pierre at the plate. Conner Jallo was the winning pitcher in the opener going 5 innings allowing 5 runs on 5 hits. Ben Eisenbiesz pitched the final two innings to get the save. In the nightecap, the White Sox had 11 hits and tallied 10 runs led by Nick Rabern who went 4 for 4 and Conner Ryan went the distance on the mound allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The sweep improves the White Sox record to 12-17 on the season as they travel to Aberdeen for a doubleheader tomorrow evening.
