UNDATED – (DRG News) The weatherman doesn’t have much relief in store as far as temperatures go in parts of South Dakota today. Pierre/Fort Pierre tied a record high yesterday. The National Weather Service says the temperature hit 106 Thursday, which tied the old record of 106 set in 1936. Other highs Thursday included 111 at Philip, 107 at Rapid City, Faith and Pine Ridge, 106 at Winner, 101 at Mobridge and 100 at Buffalo. Today’s high for the Capital City should reach 105. Temps will drop a few degrees over the weekend and early next week with highs forecast in coming days in the mid to upper 90’s for the area.
