ABERDEEN, S.D. – The South All Stars downed the North All Stars 90-67 in the South Dakota Coaches Association All Star Girls Basketball game last night in Aberdeen. The South led at all of the quarter stops and was led by Heidi Hoff of Brandon Valley. The USD recruit led the South with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Robinson of Hansen scored 16 points while Sydney Rome of Sioux Falls Roosevelt added 14. The South shot 45 percent from the field and 52 percent from beyond the 3 points line on the game. The North was led by Kelsey Little of Castlewood who scored 14 points. Bailey Milne of Madison had 12 and Alexis Watts of Miller added 11 points to led the North Squad.
In the boys All Star Game, the South stopped the North on its final four possessions, including one in the closing seconds to rally for a 67-66 victory in the boys’ basketball game during the South Dakota High School All-Star competition last night in Aberdeen. Shayne Gottlob of McCook Central led the South with 13 points, and Mitchell’s Jade Miller and Kyle Mathis of Winner each contributed a dozen. Darrin Peterka of Miller led a balanced attack for the North with 11 points and Shane Warwick from Rapid City St. Thomas More followed with 10. Jordan Lamb of Sully Buttes contributed 8 points for the North.
