HURON, S.D. – The Pierre 15-16 Green Sox Teener baseball team picked up a pair of wins last night as they swept a doubleheader at Huron.  The Green Sox won the opener 18-5 in the VFW State League contest and then took the nightcap 12-2.  Both games ended on the 10 run mercy rule.  Pierre had to rally in the opener as Huron struck for 5 runs off of starting pitcher Coooper Walton and had a 5-0 lead before the Green Sox scored 18 unanswered runs to win the contest.  Alex Gray had 4 hits and Alec Norwick 3 for the Green Sox in the opener.  In the nightcap, Pierre jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and won the game in the 6th inning on the 10 rule.  The Green Sox return to the field on Saturday when they host Brookings.
