UNDATED – (DRG News) Plans call for siren testing in Hughes and Stanley counties again tomorrow. Sirens were tested last week and Hughes/Stanley County Emergency Manager Rob Fines says plans call for another series of checks tomorrow. He says the testing is being done as part of federal requirements that must be met by 2013.
This morning, some Pierre sirens sounded by mistake-the second time in a week that a malfunction was noted. Fines says Hughes and Stanley county residents should not be alarmed tomorrow when they hear sirens going off.
Fines says the more than 20 sirens that are located throughout Hughes and Stanley counties will sound various tones, as they are checked during the test.
