PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The Department of Transportation will hold a meeting in Pierre and in four other cities across the state this month on its tentative 2013-2017 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP). The tentative STIP was approved by the Transportation Commission at its June 28 meeting. Formal public meetings on the transportation department’s plans to preserve, renovate and enhance the state’s transportation system will start July 17 in Aberdeen. There will also be meetings in Sioux Falls, Mitchell and Rapid City. Pierre’s meeting will be at the Ramkota on July 24 at 7:00 p.m. To look over the tentative transportation plan, visit the DOT’s website at www.sddot.com.
