FORT PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Tomorrow brings some Fourth of July traditions to Fort Pierre; as the day kicks off with the annual parade. Fort Pierre’s Director of Public Works, Brad Lawrence, says the parade starts at 11:00 a.m. and lineup will take place on the west side of Highway 83 near Dudley’s Valley Tap. The parade will follow the normal route, heading south on 83 and then following Deadwood Street into downtown Fort Pierre.
Lawrence advises parade goers to show up early to find a spot to watch the parade.
The parade was held last year, despite the flood; and Lawrence expects this year’s parade to be of a more celebratory event.
No registration or signup is needed for tomorrow’s parade. Those that have questions can contact the Fort Pierre Development Corporation at 223-7603.
