PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The State Lottery will celebrate a milestone this year-and will turn 25 on September 30. As part of the anniversary, the agency is starting a months-long celebration, unveiling an official logo that commemorates its 25th year. The logo will appear in all Lottery related advertising the rest of this year and be featured on various anniversary items for players and retailers. Lottery Executive Director Norm Lingle says the logo’s debut is just the start of an observance that celebrates everyone impacted by the Lottery; from players to retailers and the state itself. Lingle says the 25th anniversary is a good time to thank groups that have contributed to the Lottery’s success since 1987. Players will get the chance to get commemorative anniversary items, retailers who have partnered with the Lottery since its start will be celebrated and the contribution that Lottery revenues have made through state programs it funds will be recognized, as well. Next month, there will be a launch of two anniversary scratch tickets, an anniversary-themed booth at the State Fair in August and a formal observance is planned on September 30.
