Pierre White Sox split Teener Doubleheader

PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre 15-16 White Sox Teener baseball team split a doubleheader last night at Hyde Stadium.  The White Sox downed Aberdeen in the first game 7-6 but dropped the second game 10-8.  The important first game however gave the White Sox a win in the South Dakota VFW 15-16 League Standings.  Aberdeen scored 5 runs in the first inning off of starter and winning pitcher Nick Rabern who settled in and pitched into the 7th.  Justin Berheim picked up the save.  Nick Gusso was 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead the White Sox at the plate.  In the second game, Aberdeen jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings and held on for the victory.  Trey Campbell was 4 for 5 with 4 RBI’s in the game to lead the White Sox who travel to Watertown for a doubleheader tomorrow scheduled for a 4 pm start.
