Pierre Came Four Degrees Away from Record High Tuesday

UNDATED – (DRG News) Tuesday brought hot weather to Pierre/Fort Pierre, but no records were set in the communities. The National Weather Service says Pierre’s record temperature for June 26 was in 1961 when the high reached 104. Yesterday, the Pierre Regional Airport logged the temperature at 100 degrees. Other preliminary temperatures noted yesterday, but not made official yet by the NWS included 92 at Mobridge, 96 at Chamberlain, 100 at Winner, 103 at Faith and 108 at Philip.
