Three Junior High Cowboys and Cowgirls Qualify for National Rodeo

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Three central South Dakota contestants recently competed in the Junior High State Rodeo Finals in Spearfish and placed in te top four to advance to the Junior High National Finals Rodeo to be held in Gallup, New Mexico next month.  Brady Hill of Onida won the state bull riding championship and placed fourth in the chute dogging contest and advanced to the Nationals.  Sierra Young of Onida won the Barrel Racing to advance to the National Finals Rodeo and Tanegai Zilverberg of Holabird took the girls breakaway event to advance to the Nationals.  Tanegai is a dual citizen of Australia and the U.S. and will be a freshman at Riggs High School in Pierre next fall.
