PIERRE, S.D. – Courtney Dowling picked up where she left off during the high school track and field season as she won twice Saturday at the State Hershey Track and Field meet in Pierre. Dowling won both the 100 and 200 meter dashes just ahead of second place finishing Nicole Farnsworth of Pierre in both races. Grey Zabel also finished first in the boys 9-10 softball throw with a toss of 154-01.50. Issac Polak won the boys 9-10 long jump with a leap of 6-07.24. The other first place finisher for Pierre at the State Hershey Meet was the girls 4×100 meter relay team. That squad consisted of Taryn Senger, McKenna Larson, Emily Mikkelsen and Emma Keith. Pierre had several other place winners in the State Hershey Track and Field meet that was hosted by the Pierre Recreation Department and was headed up by Pierre Recreation Director Mindy Cheap.
