Two USD Pole Vaulters Compete at Olympic Trials

 BEAVERTON, Ore. – Two University of South Dakota pole vaulters competed at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials on Sunday in Eugene, Ore. Bethany Buell finished 15th with a height of 13-11 , while teammate Emily Grove missed all three attempts at the same height and was eliminated from competition. Buell did attempt 14-5 , but missed all three attempts. Watertown graduate and North Dakota State vaulter Leslie Brost finished ninth and also cleared 13-11 . The top three marks in each event qualify for the U.S. Track and Field team for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
