Rapid City Stevens Selects New Head Boys Basketball Coach




 RAPID CITY, S.D. – Derrick Buus has been promoted to the head coaching position of the Rapid City Stevens Boys Basketball program.  The Rapid City School Board okayed Buus appointment last night at a meeting.  Buus replaces T.J. Hay, whose resignation was formally accepted at the June 7 board meeting. Hay was 111-169 at Stevens over 12 seasons and reached the Class AA state tournament four times.  Buus has served as assistant coach in the Raiders boys basketball program the last two years.  Prior to that he had spent 5 years as head girls basketball coach at Winner High School where he also coached Track and Field and Golf.
