HURON, S.D. – The Pierre Post 8 offense was in high gear last night as they swept a doubleheader from Huron. Pierre won by scores of 15-7 and 8-6 in a game shortened due to lightning in the Huron area. In the opener Pierr broke open the contest with an 11 run 6th inning after Pierre had entered the inning leading 3-2. Alex McGuigan was the winning pitcher in the opener with relief help from Joe Snyder. Willie Welch was the winner in the second game that was called in the top of the 6th when a thunderstorm was nearing Huron. Post 8 has a 3 game winning streak now and a 9-15 record as they travel to Rapid City to face the Rapid City Post 22 Expos and Post 22 varsity in a doubleheader tomorrow night.
