SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Pheasants scorched the St. Paul Saints on Sunday afternoon for a 13-6 victory, completing a three-game series sweep before the largest crowd of the year, 3,315, at Sioux Falls Stadium. The Pheasants bats matched a season-high with 20 hits, and led 13-1 after seven innings. Christian Guerrero hit his league leading 10th home run for the Pheasants in the win and starter Peter Gehle (2-2) worked seven innings, allowing one run on ten hits, striking out three and walking one batter on 116 pitches to earn the victory. Both clubs combined for 36 hits, 30 of which were singles. The Pheasants (15-14) first series sweep of the year pulled them even with St. Paul for second place in the North Division ahead of a three-games home series with first-place Winnipeg on Monday.
