Mobridge, S.D. – (DRG News) The Veterans Van Shoot at the Sage Brush Gun Club Shooting Range on the Landis Ranch had 56 shooters from near and far. Some shooters came from Bismarck, Redfield, Pierre, Lead, and Deadwood. The fun shoot event raised a total of $3856.50 that will go towards the Parker-Browder American Legion Post 4’s Veterans Van. Tom Bandt won a Kimber 1911 by score card draw. Kirk Caldwell of Lead, SD was the top shooter and won a trophy specially made by Kelly Landis. The “Fishing” winner, a contest to see who could hit a fish resembling target was Mobridge native Jay Jensen, he won 2 lobster tails and 4 walleye fillets. The Sage Brush Gun Club is also considering another fun shoot most likely at the end of August to raise money for the All-American Beef Battalion, who serve rib-eye dinners to troops deploying for duty and served the 200th  Engineering Company when they deployed last year in May.
