PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre School Board hired a new head Girls Tennis Coach for the Pierre program at last night’s regular June monthley meeting. Wade Kippley was named as the new head coach for the Lady Govs program replacing Jeff Bloomberg, who resigned the position at the end of last season after 8 years as head coach. Kippley, who is also an English teacher at Riggs High School has 2 years of experience as a Tennis Coach. The Board also accepted the resignation of Chad Uhrig as Assistant Coach of the Governor Wrestling program after 1 year in the position. Uhrig, along with head coach Ryan Noyes helped lead the Governors to their first State Class AA Championship in 38 years last season. The board named Shawn Lewis as Uhrigs replacement. Lewis, who also will be an 8th grade football coach, has 5 years experience. And the Board named Lisa Bahe as it’s Fall Strength/Conditioning coach. Earlier, Bahe stepped down as Assistant Coach of the Lady Governor Volleyball program.
