Mobridge, S.D. – (DRG News) The 2nd Annual Denny Palmer Memorial Classic on Lake Oahe last Saturday had 81 teams vying for a chance at $15,000 in cash and prizes. Following the weigh-inn after a picture perfect day out on Lake Oahe came the results. Two teams would tie for first with a total of 16.31lbs with 6 Walleye. Steve Hopp, Mike Johnson and Adam Hickman from Alliance, Nebraska shared the tournament win with Mel Brewer, Jesse Brewer and Jeff Bonn from Mobridge, SD. The biggest fish weighed in at 5.83 lbs, which was reeled in by Brent Reilly of Selby, SD. Tournament winner Steve Hopp said, “I want to thank the (Mobridge) Chamber of Commerce in putting on a Class A tournament. I really wanted to place in the top 5 in this, because those teams are guaranteed a spot in the upcoming 2013 Mobridge Chamber Tourism Ice Fishing Tournament.”
