PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – The director of South Dakota’s Office of Emergency Medical Services is retiring.
Danny Hayes has been with Emergency Medical Service for 18 years. He’s been director of the office since December 2009.
His retirement became official on Friday.
Public Safety Secretary Trevor Jones says a search is under way to find a replacement for Hayes. Emergency Medical Services is an agency within the State Department of Public Safety.
In a news release, Hayes says he enjoyed his career in emergency medical services. He says he is looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for him.
