Last nights storm that recorded wind gusts up to 77 mph left the town of Mobridge with clean up duty. Many trees were blown down, along with power lines. Lucky’s Gas N’ More in Mobridge had their roof torn off which landed in the front parking lots of KT’s Fireside. The Pheasant Drive Inn, which is one of only a few Drive Inn theaters left in South Dakota, experienced a set back when the screen was ripped off its base. The owners of the Pheasant Drive Inn said it will be closed until further notice but the Mac Theater in town will be showing “The Lucky One” this weekend at 8pm weather permitting because the Mac Theater does not have air conditioning. The City of Mobridge ended their clean up effort at 11pm last night and resumed this morning at 7am. For those residents who need to dump debris, trees and other miscellaneous items can use the rubble site that is east of the National Gaurd Armory, which will be open all weekend.
