EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) – Mount Vernon native and NFL linebacker Chad Greenway is one of two Minnesota Vikings players absent from this week’s organized team activities. CBS Sports reported Greenway and defensive end Jared Allen as the two players missing from the OTAs. The report stated that, according to coach Leslie Frazier, Greenway is attending a family matter and Allen is expected to report next week. More information was not immediately available on Greenway’s status. Meanwhile, Vikings cornerback Asher Allen has retired from football. Coach Leslie Frazier announced on Wednesday that the fourth-year cornerback came into his office last week and told Frazier of his decision. Frazier says he was surprised, but did not get into the specifics of their discussion.
