GARY, IND – The Gary Southshore RailCats offense returned to lead them to a 8-4 American Association win over Sioux Falls as they took the rubber match of the three game series on Wednesday afternoon. The win was number career number 800 for RailCats Manager Greg Tagert and his 388th as the skipper of the RailCats. Peter Gehle started for the Pheasants and got into trouble in the 2nd inning allowing 4 runs. Gehle got the emergency start for Sioux Falls after scheduled starter Alan DeRatt came down with the flu. After Sioux Falls scored a run to cut the lead to 4-1 in the top of the 4th, the RailCats scorec 4 more in the bottom half of the inning to build a 8-1 lead. Sioux Falls got a two run home run from Christian Guerro in the 3 run 8th inning to close out the Phesants scoring. The Pheasants return home to host the Lincoln Saltdogs in a 4 game series tomorrow night.
