Parkston wins Class A Girls Golf State Title




HOT SPRINGS, S.D. – Parkston fired a second round 325 and a 36 hole total of 651 for an 18 shot victory over Hot Springs and Spearfish to win the Class A Girls State Golf Tournament title that wrapped up yesterday at the Southern Hills Golf Course in Hot Springs.  Mobridge Pollock finished with a 801 team score and a 8th place finish.  Chamberlain finished 15th in the 15 team field with a 892.  Sydney Borman of Parkston won the Individual Medalist title by winning a 3 way playoff with Cassidy Vollmer and Schuyler Wetzel, both of Hot Springs.  All three girls finished regulation with a 153.  Borman and Wetzel both shot 76′s in the second round while Vollmer had a 77.  Michelle McCellem of Mobridge-Pollock finished with a 186 and a 23rd place finish.
