SD Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Hiding Information

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – A Winner woman has pleaded not guilty in federal court to concealing information from authorities investigating a homicide at a tribal housing facility in the South Dakota city.
The Daily Republic reports that 21-year-old Allisa Hawkman faces up to three years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
The charge against her is related to the investigation into the April 13 beating death of Ernest White Buffalo Chief. Nineteen-year-old Taylor White Buffalo of Winner has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. He is to stand trial in July and could face life in prison if convicted.
