Pierre Police Arrested a Pierre Man After a Sunday Fight

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A Pierre man had to be tased on Sunday after he reportedly become combative with Pierre Police. Pierre Police Captain Elton Blemaster says officers were dispatched to a location in the 400 block of East Missouri on Sunday night about 8:45 p.m. to the report of a fight in progress. When they arrived, they found one of the suspects that had been in the skirmish. It was discovered that the man was on parole and that he was intoxicated. Blemaster says parole services requested that police hold the man and officers attempted to take 25-year-old Eli Krogman into custody on a Parole Detainer. Blemaster says Krogman would not comply with the officers verbal commands, started to become combative and had to be tased to be taken into custody. In addition to the parole violation, Krogman was also charged with Resisting Arrest. Krogman was transported to the Hughes County Jail after his Sunday arrest.
