HOT SPRINGS, S.D. - Parkston fired a team score 326 and holds a 8 stroke lead over runner up and host team Hot Springs at the Class A Girls State Golf Tournament after the first day at the Southern Hills Country Club course in Hot Springs. Chamberlain sits in last place in the 16 team field with a 472. Mobridge-Pollock is 12th with a 394. Cassidy Vollmer of Hot Springs has the first round lead after a round of 76 yesterday. Thats one shot better than runner ups Sydney Borman of Parkston and Schuyler Wetzel of Hot Springs. Michelle McClellam had Mobridge-Pollocks best round of the day with a 96. Brigette Byrd of Chamberlain fired a round of 109. The second and final day of the tournament is today.
