South Central leads the Girls and Webster the Boys at Class B State Golf Tournaments

 RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Central has the first round lead in the Class B Girls High School Golf tournament being golfed at the Elks Golf Course in Rapid City. South Central fired a 268 and holds a 11 stroke lead over Willow Lake. Sully Buttes is in fifth place after a first day score of 288. Kristin Shanahan of South Central had a first round of 81 and holds a one stroke lead over Tia Nihart of James Valley Christian. In the Boys tournament at the Hart Ranch Golf Course, Webster had a 252 and holds a 7 shot lead over White River. Philip had a first round of 282, one shot ahead of Sully Buttes. Lyman had a 295 and Gettysburg a 307. Cal Weiss of Howard has the first round lead with a 76, 2 strokes ahead of Aaron Lickteig of Freeman. Stanley County’s lone golfer in the field is Elliot Shoup who had a round of 104 and is tied with 3 other golfers.
