Pierre PD Looks Into Vandalism Cases at Car Dealer

Broken Window

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Police are looking into six vandalism cases involving privately owned vehicles that were parked at Capital Motors on Sioux Avenue.  Pierre Police Captain Elton Blemaster says officers were contacted Saturday afternoon of the report of vandalism to one vehicle and as they investigated, they found five others that had been damaged. Blemaster says it’s believed that someone threw rocks from nearby railroad tracks at the vehicles, resulting in various damages to the vehicles’ windshields, a sunroof, a door and a back window.   Blemaster says there is no current estimate of damage. He says the investigation continues and anyone that can offer information that will help officers solve the vandalisms can contact the Pierre Police Department at 773-7410.
