Crash in Pierre Results in One Vehicle Rolling Over-No One Hurt

May 11 Car Crash

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A two vehicle crash resulted in more than $15,000 damage to the units involved Friday morning. Pierre Police Captain Elton Blemaster says the accident was reported about 10:00 a.m. Friday and occurred in a northwest Pierre neighborhood. A vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Pierre man was westbound in an alley north of the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Central Avenue and an investigation shows the brakes on his vehicle went out and he could not stop for a vehicle traveling northbound on Central Avenue. The two autos collided and the vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Pierre man rolled onto its driver’s side. The first vehicle sustained about $6,000 damage and the damage to the auto that rolled totaled about $10,000. Neither driver required medical attention and Blemaster says there were no citations issued.
