HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Dakota State dropped a 9-7 verdict to host Tabor College in the opening round of the NAIA’s Hutchinson Regional Baseball tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas this morning. Tabor scored 6 runs in the first inning off of starting and losing pitcher Brandon Womack. Dakota State scored 5 runs in the 7th inning to cut the lead to two, but that was as close as the game would get. Anyelo Roman hit a home run in the losing effort for the Trojans who now face elimination in the tournament. DSU will now play the loser of the Judson University and Rogers College game tomorrow.
