RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – A South Dakota School of Mines student who was paralyzed during a high school wrestling tournament four years ago has landed an internship with NASA.   Dusty Swanson is one of three South Dakota students accepted into the program. Swanson begins his 10-week internship in Houston on May 21. He says it will lay the foundation for him to work for the space agency in the future if he decides that’s what he wants to do.   Swanson was a 15-year-old Hill City High School sophomore when he suffered a spinal injury at a wrestling match in Fort Pierre and lost the use of his arms and legs. The community rallied around him and is doing so again, organizing a Sunday fundraiser to help pay travel and living expenses.
