MILLER, S.D. – The Stanley County Buffalos finished 4th in the team standings of the Jimmy Rearick Track and Field meet held yesterday in Miller. Led by senior Cody LeCompte, the Buffalos garnered 76 points. LeCompte won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.04 seconds and won the triple jump with a distance of 39-7 3/4. He also ran a leg on the winning 800 meter relay team. The Lady Buffalos also competed in the meet and while they did not have any champions, they did have a three place winners athlete on the day. 8th grader Kelcey VanDenHemmel finished 2nd in the 800 meters and 4th in the 400 meter runs. She also ran a leg on the third place finishing 800 meter relay. The Buffalos and Lady Buffalos return to Miller to compete in the Miller Invitational Track and Field Meet on Tuesday of next week.
