PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – A South Dakota legislative panel is seeking applicants for a vacancy on the State Investment Council.
The council is responsible for investing state revenues and determining state investment policies, particularly for the South Dakota Retirement System.
The eight-member Investment Council includes three state officials and five members appointed by the Executive Board, which handles management and administrative issues for the Legislature. The Executive Board will make one appointment this year.
People who are trained in investment and finance but are not engaged in the sale of marketable or public securities to the state may apply for an appointment to the Investment Council.
Applications can be obtained from the Legislature Research Council. The deadline for applications is May 11.
