PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) As the month of May gets underway, Pleasant Drive is one of the locations in Pierre that is seeing infrastructure or reconstruction work. Today, the city closed Pleasant between Central and Huron Avenues for water main replacement work. Lynn Patton, Construction and Operations Manager, says once that segment of Pleasant is complete, the block of Pleasant between Huron Avenue and Pierre Street will be shut to traffic as the water main replacement project continues. All businesses are open and can be accessed via sidewalks in front of the buildings. Patton advises motorists to use caution when driving on Pleasant and in other construction areas of Pierre.
