PIERRE, S.D. -  (DRG News) A power outage Saturday in Pierre affected residential customers in a portion of town.  Brad Palmer, City Utilities Director, said the outage was reported about 3:15 p.m. Saturday and impacted customers from Harrison Avenue to Jefferson Avenue and from the Ash substation on North Harrison down to an area near the River Cities Transit building.  He says troubles with a feeder near the Harrison/Dakota Avenue intersection caused the outage.  Crews were able to restore power about 4:00 p.m. but Palmer says they will replace a cable to permanently repair the issue sometime in the future.
