PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre 13-14 Teener schedules have been beefed up abit. Post 8 Baseball officials says that Pierre has secured two spots in a tournament in Pipestone, Minnesota as well a two spots in a tournament being played in Flandreau. In addition, the Gray Sox will now play in the Joe Kirley Memorial Tournament in Pierre in July. Officials also say that they are finalizing plans with the Black Hills Pony League Association that would see several squads from Rapid City come to Pierre in mid-June to play a weekend round robin event. In return, Pierre would send teams to Rapid City to play in their end of the season tournament. This year, Post 8 is having 3 teams of players 13-14 age after nearly 50 players of that age bracket registered after the Capital City Baseball Association decided to not sponsor Pony League baseball any more.
