NSIC Decathlon and Heptathlon Wrap up Yesterday in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Tandy Juell of Minnesota State Mankato won the men’s decathlon competition as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrapped up two days of competition yesterday.  Juell scored 6968 points to edge out runner up David Braaten of St. Cloud State.  Paige Pollard of Wayne State won the women’s heptathlon title with a total of 4923 points outdistancing runner up Chanel Miller of Minnesota-Duluth.  Katie Toner of Augustana finished 4th with 4453 and Leandra Schlecht of Northern State had a 7th place finish with a score of 4179.  Mary Hitchcock of Augustana finished 10th and Hannah Treinen of Northern State had a 12th place finish.  The remainder of the NSIC Track and Field conference meet will be held at Mary in Bismarck on May 11 and 12.
