Pierre PD To Hold Drug Take Back Day Tomorrow

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The Pierre Police Department will take part in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s “Drug Take Back” program tomorrow. This is the fourth time the PD has participated in the event. Captain Elton Blemaster says citizens can bring expired prescription drugs to the city hall commission room tomorrow from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. The Take Back program in the fall of 2010 resulted in 15 pounds of medication being collected in Pierre. Blemaster says 45 pounds of medication was gathered in April 2011 and at the last Take Back effort-on October 29 of last year; 25 pounds of medication were accepted.
