MOBRIDGE, S.D. – (DRG News) The South Dakota Department of Transportation was to start work on U.S. Highway 83 near the Akaska junction in Walworth County today. The two mile stretch of highway will see work that includes removal of existing pavement, sub grade repair and resurfacing with asphalt concrete. During working hours, flaggers and a pilot car will help guide traffic through the project. Two way traffic will be restored for evening and weekend travelers. Those driving in the road work zone are reminded to slow down, and be aware of equipment and highway workers.
