Records Fall at Big Dakota Conference Track and Field Meet

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. (Rod Fisher Dakota Radio Group) – Nine records fell yesterday at the Big Dakota Conference Track and Field meet in Chamberlain.  Daniel Roberts of Mobridge-Pollock set a new Discus record with a toss of 182-09.  Dyson Lends His Horse of Cheyenne Eagle Butte set a new record inthe 1600 meter run with a time of 4:30.27.  Hudson Preibe of Chamberlain set the mark in the Long Jump with a leap of 20-11 and the Mobridge-Pollock boys 1600 meter relay team set a record with a time of 3:31.64.  In the girls, Bailey Friesz of Mobridge-Pollock set a new mark in the 400 meter run in a time of :50.47 while Dayna Diez of Winner set a new conference record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of :47.95.  Lottie Grimshaw of Todd County set a new mark in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:29.94.  Steph Gemar of Mobridge-Pollock set a new conference mark in the Girls Discus with a toss of 129-03 and finally the Cheyenne Eagle Butte Girls Medley Relay squad set a new conference record with a record breaking time of 4:34.84.
