First High School Soccer Season set to Go

PIERRE, S.D. (Rod Fisher Dakota Radio Group) – Schools joining the South Dakota High School Activities Association for the organization’s first fall offering the sport of soccer finally reached their destination Tuesday after the state board of directors approved regular-season and postseason formats for boys’ and girls’ play at a regularly-scheduled meeting in Pierre.  In all, 13 schools are either directly or cooperatively participating in the sport, with 16 total teams ready to compete.  9 boys and 7 girls squads will kick off the association’s first sanctioned season in a one-class system in both genders.
