Mobridg SD- Once again amateur baseball is starting in South Dakota. Mobridge had a rich tradition of amateur baseball in the past and once again someone is trying to organize a team in Mobridge. People know that the ballpark here in Mobridge is a good one, now all we need is a ball team to play there. The people in Mobridge have given a lot of money to install lights and there is a new grand stand. The Mobridge Rotary built a new lavatory and the Legion Memorial Filed is now ready for a team to move in and play. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear the sound of the bat, the smell of fresh popped popcorn, and tast a ballpark hotdog again? There is nothing like being outside at the ballpark watching a great game, and if you don’t want to run all the way to Minneapolis every night to catch the Twins then this is the next best thing. The players are all people you know and the games are very exciting. If you are interested in playing Amateur Baseball in Mobridge please contact Justin Kappes this week. If you don’t know how to contact Kappes then you can contact Andy Shoe at KOLY in Mobridge and get headed in the right direction. You don’t have to live in Mobridge to play as many players have come from area towns to play. Let’s get Baseball back in Mobridge.
