Ellwanger Awarded 2012 History Teacher of the Year Honor

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A Stanley County social studies teacher was named the 2012 History Teacher of the Year at the South Dakota State Historical Society’s annual history conference in Pierre. William “Bill” Ellwanger teaches in Fort Pierre and received the award-which is one of the Governor’s Awards for History-on Saturday. Ellwanger was given the honor as part of the annual conference, which was held Friday and Saturday at the Ramkota.
